Hello everybody
i have just located some new drivers for our CanoScan LIDE200 scanner that work in Snow Leopard.
I installed the scanner drivers and connected the scanner. When I pressed one of the function buttons on the front of the scanner, to my delight, Image Capture popped up and the scanner worked fine.
How do you add a scanner to Abbyy FineReader Express, does anybody know please?
I don't seem to be able to see any preferences window anywhere and only Files appear in the task list that's available.
I may also try VueScan to see if that sees it, and maybe even IRIS Pro. But Abbyy FineReader is by far the most accurate solution. I know you can scan to an image and then import that into FineReader. I may be forced to go that road. But the programme is supposed to handle scanners directly.
Gordon explained to me earlier that some Twain drivers are not native Intel-compliant drivers. And that is why sometimes they don't work. But in this case the drivers are specifically written for OSX 10.6 ? it specifically says so on the web page where I downloaded it yesterday.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Lynne
